Everyone Can Quilt!
In this workshop, we'll piece throw-sized log cabin quilt tops from upcycled materials. Yes, you can piece a quilt top in a day! I'll provide everything: lots of fabrics, batting, thread, needles, sewing machines, safety pins, scissors, cutting mats, etc.). This class is for all levels—never used a sewing machine before? You'll learn! Never quilted before? This is a perfect first project! In the afternoon, I'll demonstrate how to assemble and quilt your quilt using several methods: hand quilting, machine quilting, and tying. I'll provide batting for everyone so you'll have everything you need to finish your quilt at home.
What to bring:
Everything on this list is optional! I will have everything you need in the studio, from sewing machines to safety pins. If you have any of these materials, feel free to bring them.
Sewing machine (any type)
Rubber cutting mat
Rotary cutter
Sharp scissors (any type)
Safety pins
Straight pins
Any fabric you'd like to include in your quilt! I recommend avoiding stretchy fabrics because they can be difficult to work with.
